A fab article lled Street Sounds, Street Writers was written by Christopher Jones over at the City of Toronto’s Live With Culture site:
“Sound Poets ringleader, rose, says her group is committed to ‘bringing together a community that doesn’t have a lot of access. We did outreach at shelters and youth agencies. I don’t think we’ve ever worked with a broader range of people and styles: we have queer youth and politil youth and Native youth, people who might never come together otherwise.’ ”
And check out leb and Rosina, as they represent the group on Daytime Toronto, a Rogers TV show. Hilarious interview. Amazing piece performed by leb!

A couple weeks ago, the whole group worked together to make a zine about writing. Each person made a page or two. We tackled topics like why we write, what it means to us, and the pain/joy/love/tharsis associated with the process. We’ve snned it in and uploaded it. Check it out for yourself:
